heres a few things to throw in the homo-hetero-religious mix...
Assuning that Jesus is the founder of Christianity and the father so to speak of Cahtolicsim...
I think hed be amused and totally saddened by what being done to people in the name of God and relgion...
having said that -
Every argument against gays getting married was also proposed and cited against inter-racial marriage...yes with bible quotes included...
research it for yourself...
these so called bible thumpers said that inter-racial marriage would destroy the kids and on and on...didnt happen and even our new president elect Obama can testafy to that since he has a mixed set of parents - one white and one black...
I'll let that sink in before telling you that -- Jesus was also black...

according to historians and bible scholars and antropologists and archiolgogists..Jesus had almost black skin....from being in the sun all day...and he was hardly the frail "Kurt Cobain" type that whites make him out to be - and likewise he had brown eyes with an est height of around 5-8 tall...
Jesus was not born on dec 25 either...sorry to burst your buble there too...he was born - as an educated guess sometime in April...
the church clergy was tired of having to compete with the pagan-winter solstice festivals that were so popular...so they ear-marked the date and changed Jesus b-day to Dec 25th which over laps the winter soltice...

the so called white and hetero ? America that all these right-wingers are fighting for never existed in the first place...and guess who conjured up the whole white - two parent waspy family ?
a bunch of jewish business men in hollywood...and boy did this country just eat it up...
sad to say -- this country was built by immigrants and blacks...
and gays I might add...
and btw - just for the record gay people have been around since antiquitity...were not just something that emerged from the protests of the 60s...weve been taking a beating and been killed and hated and feared since time began and now finally were not willing to lay down our lives or sit in the back of societys bus...
while weve got a microscope on the church becuae they are the ones that made this an issue and told there congreations and fed hate mongering and fear and lies I might add to further thier lifestyle...
they brought this issue to the forfront of American politics trying and seeking to remove our rights - basic rights...legal rights...medical rights...in the name of jesus no less...
the church is guilty of every atrocity imaginable thru out history...from withc hunts to killing and stealing to pedipheliia to even being connected to the mafia...hey man dont take my word for it do your homework...
when all is said and done - if you take "Religion" out of this question then guess what there is no question....
